Abstract
This report contains a collection of non-acoustic data gathered during the TTCP sea trial RDS-2. The data were collected on the three ships that participated in the trial: FRV Southern Surveyor, HMNZS Manawanui and TSMV Pacific Conquest. The trial took place in the shallow waters of northern Australia, about 100 miles west of the city of Darwin, during the period 29 October - 12 November 1998. Trial RDS-2 was a TTCP Subgroup G initiated multinational collaborative sea trial of concepts related to rapidly deployable underwater systems. The endorsed aim of the trial was to test and demonstrate advanced deployable array technologies, advanced data recovery methods and rapid array deployment techniques. RDS-2 was the second of three collaborative sea tests proposed by the RDS working group. This document provides sufficient information to allow researchers to use the collected data independently.
