Abstract
The work in this report is part of an ongoing research program into electronic countermeasures (ECM) techniques, technology and architectures to counter the synthetic aperture radar (SAR). This report describes the origin of focusing and placement problems for distant false targets as a mismatch in SAR processing parameters between the jammer location and the desired false target location. The report then presents means of calculating and applying compensations so that ECM transmitted from the jammer site results in well-formed, focused deceptive false targets placed at the desired locations.
