Abstract
This report is concerned with the design and the manufacture of the powder charges for gun launching of hollow lightweight detonation-driven flight bodies. The report is divided into three parts, the first of which deals with the design of the gun propelling charge. This is presented in sections 2.0 through section 8.0. The second part describes the filling procedures determined for making up these charges in limited quantities. This is covered in sections 9.0 and 10.0. The manufacture of the propellant bags, the ignition units, and other elements of the charge is detailed in section 11.0 and section 12.0, continuing in appendix A through to appendix D. A plan for a test firing series, to bring the charge into operation is presented in section 13.0.
