Abstract
This research note examines the short-term prospects for Israeli-PLO-Islamist relations using an analytical technique known as Conflict Analysis. First, the turbulent events in the first four months of 1995 are surveyed to provide the background for the analysis. In the next section, Israeli-PLO-Islamist relations are assessed in terms of the Israeli-Palestinian Peace Process conflict. The structure of the conflict is introduced and possible solutions explored using the stability concepts of Conflict Analysis. Finally, in the concluding section, some inferences regarding Israeli-PLO-Islamist relations are drawn from the analysis.
