- Abstract
- In October 1999, the Operational Research Division was tasked to provide OR support to the Canadian Land Staff Army Restructuring Initiative. This research, referred to as GOLD WARDER, initially focussed on the current Army's capability to sustain foreign deployments based on historical demands. This project was suspended, awaiting further direction, after preliminary results revealed that other issues needed to be resolved beforehand. The aim of this Research Note is to document the preliminary analysis of systainment issues in support of deployed operations. It is recommended that a comprehensive study be undertaken to address the issues identified in this report.
