Abstract
The original objectives of this contract work can be summarized in general terms as follows: to carry out a research project involving the development of several numerical models and analyses along with computer codes based on chemical equilibrium principles with different relevant equations of state for the burning of propellants in DREV's closed vessel, with more specific details outlined in the contract. This final report summarizes the work done for this DREV contract. The objectives of this research were originally set too high and fulfillment of the research goals were not satisfied in the time frame of the original and extended contract. The first part of this report provides a summary of the type of work and reasons for undertaking the work and accomplishments, in order to put the contract work into context and provide perspective. The second part of this report is a set of appendices, each one self-contained on a particular topic, in order to provide additional details on the individual studies.
