SHIPOP2: An updated program for computing ship operability in waves and wind

Abstract
SHIPOP2 is an updated version of DREA's program for predicting ship operability in waves and wind. Given limiting motion and aircraft operability criteria, SHIPOP2 can compute limiting conditions for ship operability and percent time operable for a specified wave climate. SHIPOP2 is compatible with SHIPMO7, the latest version of DREA's ship motion program. New operability criteria include motion sickness incidence and the effects of ship motions on clearances between ship fixtures and projectiles launched from the ship. To increase the applicability and potential program user base, SHIPOP2 can read public domain wave climate data files and custom wave scattergram files prepared by the program user.
