Abstract
The 3D time-domain computer program SEALOADS version 1.0 calculates the nonlinear response of a ship in severe waves in the time-domain. The output includes ship motions, hydrodynamic pressure distribution, and hull-girder loads. The program written in FORTRAN consists of four independent sub-programs: RAD to compute the response function due to radiated waves; DIF to compute the response functions due to diffracted waves; DAMP to compute the roll damping coefficients; and SEALOAD, the main program to compute the ship motions, pressures, and hull-girder loads. This manual describes the installation and operation of SEALOADS version 1.0 on a FreeBSD UNIX system. The structures of input and output data files are described, and example files are illustrated.
