Abstract
This report contains the conceptual diagrams and the variable dictionary used to develop the module called "Image Database Catalogue" (IDBC), which is the master component of the ACIDE system. The IDBC is the database application where are stored all the information known about the images and the sensors that were used to acquire them. This application will allow us to perform queries on image parameters or queries to retrieve images (for re-use) as a function of their parameters. The whole ACIDE system is designed to automatically gather and process images that can be (also automatically) downloaded from the sensor to the DB through an electronic link. ACIDE is conceived to be programmable in such a way that it will have a certain capability to react to events. It will be able to recognize the context of the image acquisition (or other image attributes), to dispatch the image to the appropriate image processing algorithm, to save the results of the analysis and finally to warn the operator if something of interest has been discovered.
