Abstract
This paper deals on a historic level with the T.I.M.E. Welding Process, a process characterized by a unique control of plasma formed from the ionized gases used in the welding gas mixture. The experiences of John Church, with T.I.M.E. Welding are described. His work Ontario Research, Techno Scientific, Hyundai, a European Investigation, the Central Institute of Welding, the Aichi Sangyo Co, and his patent experiences in Japan are presented with data and historical perspectives. Subsequent experiences in DND from the 1980s to the present are also presented along with Dynamic Tear impact test data to frame the process against other welding methods.
