Abstract
This contractor's report contains a detailed account of numerical simulations designed to measure the performance of various beamforming methods in highly reverberant wideband environments. The Minimum-Variance Distortionless-Response (MVDR) method is used in conjunction with a horizontal array of limacon sensors and a horizontal parallel array of omnidirectional sensors. The benefits and drawbacks of both configurations are weighed and discussed. Additionally, mathematical models for all scenarios discussed in this report are examined.
