Abstract
The purpose of this document is to present a set of network symbols selected for use in a demonstrator. These symbols provide support for Logical, Physical and Geospatial Displays. The document also provides working examples as well as lessons learned that might be useful for implementers of future graphical network rendering tools. The reader should keep in mind that the term “symbol” is not necessarily a simple icon or bitmap, although icons do comprise a significant portion of the presented symbols. Symbols may also include lines, curves, text as well as combination of any or all these graphical elements.
