Abstract
Important parameters of the blast wave from an explosion are: the peak value of the overpressure at the shock front, the duration of blast pressure at a value greater than the ambient, the integrated area or impulse, enclosed by the axes of pressure and time, and by the blast wave pressure contour. An automatic procedure is discussed to read the blast records from magnetic tape, to convert the signals to digital form, and to make estimates of the three parameters.
