Abstract
Advanced tactical aircraft are able to produce high levels of +Gz at onset rates in excess of +10 Gz/sec. One of the aims of the Tactical Life Support System programme is to improve the protection against the physiological problems occurring during +Gz. The importance of the anti-G suit and positive pressure breathing to +Gz tolerance are reviewed with recommendations intended to improve their effectiveness.
