Abstract
Based on the theoretical background, the numerical scheme and computational result for predicting CPF bow-flare impulsive loads, an interactive software package, namely, CPFSLAM, is developed. This package fully utilizes the special features of Qt (GUI-toolkits) and Open GL (3-D rendering library). The software can predict flow and pressures arising from slamming of two-dimensional sections of the HALIFAX class. The software includes a three-dimensional NURBS representation of the HALIFAX class, from which the user can select a two-dimensional section of interest for slamming calculations.
