Abstract
The boundary element method is used to perform stress analysis calculations using linear triangular surface panels. A major requirement for the structure to be analyzed is to be isotropic, having small displacements and to possess a linear stress-strain relationship. The report describes the development of the three dimensional boundary element program B.E.S.T., and several example problems.
