Abstract
This document introduces the initial version of the Capability Engineering Process (CEP) which aims to address the Department of National Defence and Canadian Forces’ (DND/CF) near-term objective of bridging the gap between the Capability-Base Planning (CBP) and Acquisition processes. The intended audience for this document are DND/CF decision-makers and users of the CEP i.e. those who will apply or maintain the CEP. The document provides a description of the Technical Engineering and Project processes that compose the CEP including assumptions, terms & definitions, high-level models, process descriptions, input and outputs. CEP deliverable templates are provided as annexes to the document.
