Abstract
This report is an updated user’s manual for the VIMGEN code. The changes to the manual reflect recent improvements of this vibration isolation system model generation and visualisation program including an automated procedure in VIMGEN for evaluating real and complex condensed stiffness matrices of practical vibration mounts with or without static compression. An analytical model for rolled dielectric polymer actuators was developed. This analytical model has been implemented in both Fortran and Matlab and has been successfully integrated into VIMGEN. The active control simulation program in the VVES (Vibration of Visco-elastic and Elastic Structures) suite, named VVESActive, was incorporated in VIMGEN and all the VVES programs were compiled into DLL using a Matlab compiler, which could be executed without the Matlab program.
