Abstract
In a program conducted by the Canadian Centre for Mine Action Technologies in the summer of 2002, four machines were selected for evaluation of their potential as Mechanically-Assisted Clearance Equipment (MCE) in humanitarian demining operations. One of these machines was unavailable for the test. This program continued to develop the test and evaluation protocols originated in the summer of 2000. Inert Mechanical Reproduction Mines were again used as the standardized target test pieces for this program. This report discusses the XM2670-A3 Mini-Flail. Nameplate data identifies the test unit as serial number 16, constructed in January 2000 by Marion Metal Works Incorporated, of Ocala, Florida, USA.
