Abstract
The recognized air picture is one of the tools to monitor the situation and develop an understanding of what is going on in the field of a military operation. Several military command and control systems have a display that could be used as a tool for a recognized air picture. This study provides documentation and a brief analysis of the functionalities of those systems that were installed at DRDC, and that have a display that make them usable as a recognized air picture tool. These systems are the following: - Situation Awareness and Assessment (SAA) module from Theater Battle Management Core Systems (TBMCS version 1.1.1; - Integrated Command and Control (ICC) version 2.6.1; - Command and Control for the PC (C2PC) version 5.9.0.3 patch 4; - Falcon View from Portable Flight Planning System (PFPS) version 3.3.1; - Joint Mapping Toolkit (JMTK) from Global Command and Control System (GCCS) version 4.0; - Canadian ATO/ACO Tool XML interpreter System (CAAT-Xi) version 1.0 beta.
