Abstract
New features have been added to the Behind-armour Debris (BAD) software, in addition to the characterization and simulation abilities. The program has been improved in many ways to give reasonable results from both the fundamental relations and the relations extracted from the experimental results. The bombshell fragmentation process is a whole new feature for DeCam. The existing resources of the fragment identification and characterization are reused to accommodate the changes from the SCFA experiment set up for the bombshell fragmentation. Attempts have been made to include the THOR equation as a way to characterize fragment mass and velocity. While restricted by the technical problem, the THOR equation will be used in the following contract. Data analysis for over 50 kinetic energy projectile penetrations to different target plates has been done in this report. Several relations between penetration parameter and the impact velocity overmatch have been extracted from the experimental results. These relations are used in the DeCaM simulation process to further improve its reliability.
