Abstract
This report introduces a knowledge representation and reasoning scheme that can accommodate uncertainty in simulation of military personnel. The Integrated Performance Modelling Environment (IPME) simulation engine is used with the approach to demonstrate how advanced reasoning models can be integrated with conventional task network modelling to provide greater functionality and flexibility when modelling operator performance. This approach is capable of using multiple reasoning methods, including first-order logic, fuzzy logic and probability reasoning, and supporting attributes inheritance of knowledge.
