Abstract
This paper presents a study of a dynamic risk management model for asset protection. The intent of this effort is to define and develop a feasible abstraction in the area of defensive posture technology. This abstraction will provide the groundwork and required elements, based on generally available technology, so as to provide the necessary framework for the creation of a modeling system for dynamic risk management and asset protection. Within this research, the most pressing question will be how to quantify values pertaining to each asset, safeguard, and threat in such a way as to provide input to the abstraction and, hence, to the a future usable model. Furthermore, how much of that quantified data needs to be defined or enhanced in order to bring forward adequate data for the model to be effective and dynamic.
