Abstract
In a program conducted by the Canadian Centre for Mine Action Technologies in the summer of 2000, four machines were evaluated for their potential as Mechanical Assistance Equipment in humanitarian demining operations. This program also developed test and evaluation protocols and highly realistic but inert “reproduction mines” for use in such tests. This report is prepared in 8 separate volumes. While each volume is intended as a stand-alone document, there are important interdependencies between some of the volumes. One of the machines included in the program was the remotely controlled Omega 5 Aegis mini-flail, detailed in this volume.
