Abstract
This report documents the work done to aid in the analysis of Transmission Loss (TL) data collected during QUEST Trial Q246. During this call-up, Frequency Modulated (FM) pulses received by the Endeavour were measured and the signal processing gain recorded for two environmental runs. The calibrated TL results require further adjustment for the source level and receiver sensitivity. The analysis work done under this call-up reused processes developed during the “Data Processing and Analysis Support to Measure Active Signal Levels” call-up (Integrated Passive/Active Concept Testbed [IMPACT] Standing Offer No. W7707-021973/001/HAL, Requisition No. W7707-03-2304). There, FM pulse receive levels, as seen at the target, were measured from Q246 data. This work included providing small enhancements to the existing Interactive Data Language (IDL)-based Software Tools for Analysis and Research (STAR) software, based on recommendations generated during previous call-ups. These tasks involved the generation or enhancement of reusable software components, allowing future work to be performed more efficiently. The STAR suite was then used to perform data analysis including test and measurement tasks.
