Abstract
The Tempest Mk V with a ground engaging flail was tested in a cooperative International Test and Evaluation Program trial in September 2005. Canada was the lead nation for the test, with Sweden as a partner. This performance trial was conducted in Sweden. A performance trial was performed previously in Cambodia in February 2005 and this trial was intended to confirm the results of in-country tests. The results of the trial in Cambodia are described in a separate Qinetiq report. The project was conducted to the methodology specified in the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN) Workshop Agreement ‘CEN Workshop Agreement 15044; Test and Evaluation of Demining Machines’ available at the International Test and Evaluation Website (www.itep.ws).
