- Abstract
- Early in 2008, a series of pilot test was done with the Albert model of the Victoria class submarine passing over a false floor in the NRC Institute for Ocean Technology towing tank. These tests were done to aid in planning a more extensive test program later in the year, the overall objective being to gather data on littoral mamoeuverability. The results provide a preliminary look at the hydrodynamic loads imposed on the submarine operating close to the bottom. They are reviewed here in sanitized form.
