Abstract
One of the regions that are experiencing significant demographic growth and in which considerable political instability persists is the Middle East. This Memorandum discusses the demographic boom in the Middle East, and concludes that it has not been addressed adequately by most governments and that, as a result, the presence of young populations is likely to lead to an increase in radicalization and political instability in the region.
