Abstract
This report deals with the development of electrochemical supercapacitor based on MnO2 and binary manganese and ruthenium oxides with the use of various current collectors. The binary oxides were prepared and characterized by physicochemical and electrochemical techniques. The effect of the heat-treatment on the capacitance of the binary oxides was investigated as well as the effect of the supporting electrolyte, the current collector and the composition of the composite electrode. Finally, carbon nanotubes coated on a carbon paper was used as support for the spontaneous formation of MnO2.
