Abstract
A comparative study of commercially available area cameras for use in the SWIR region of the electromagnetic spectrum (0.9 to 3 µm) has been lead. One important feature to be compared among the existing cameras was the possibility to use them as temporally gated cameras in a Multiple field-of-view (MFOV) Lidar application. It was found that temporal gating at these wavelengths may prove difficult if not impossible to achieve in a short term. The results of the study are being presented herein.
