Abstract
The response of the Cosmic Ray Inspection and Passive Tomography (CRIPT) drift chamber has been simulated. The spatial resolutions in directions parallel and perpendicular to the drift chamber’s anode wire have been estimated. It is around 1 mm in the direction perpendicular to the wire and less than 1.5 mm along the wire. This simulation has been done without adding electronic noise which can be estimated once the experimental data are available. These results are very promising and satisfy the CRIPT muon tracking requirements.
