Abstract
The primary objective of Phase 1 of the research program was to identify the operational and performance criteria for the proposed new visor system. In order to achieve this objective, the following areas of work were undertaken: (1) Pertinent research publications were sought and reviewed; (2) Contact was established with other aerospace groups; (3) Aircrew personnel were interviewed; and (4) The behaviour of test subjects in a CF-18 simulator was observed and evaluated.
