Abstract
The report describes the selection of the two most promising visor actuation concepts and the subsequent fabrication and testing of working prototypes. The two concepts selected and developed for laboratory and field evaluation are described as the friction locking system and the track locking system. The finalized versions of these two prototypes are shown in Figures 1 and 2. During this phase of the research program, different versions of both prototypes underwent extensive laboratory testing and refinement before the designs of the prototypes were finalized. This work is documented in this report.
