Abstract
Digital terrain data for the Amberg region of Germany are analysed to determine the increase in ground coverage achieved by elevating line-of-sight sensors at various heights above the ground. It is suggested that, with careful tactics, significant improvements in coverage can be achieved by elevating these ground sensors.
