- Abstract
- In June of 2013, a historic masonry wall was blast tested at the Rafael Shdema site in Israel. The testing was co-sponsored by the RCMP Protective Operations and the Explora Foundation. Technical input, with respect to the test configuration, was provided by CERL. The objective of the test was to determine the extent of the vulnerability of historic masonry to blast. In addition, it was anticipated that the results could be used to evaluate the ability of blast engineers to estimate the blast response of historic masonry.
