Abstract
A book that receives no bad reviews probably has nothing to say. We should perhaps therefore be grateful for Henderson's (1985) review of The psychology of reading (Taylor and Taylor, 1983). Unfortunately, it contains so many misrepresentations and is so polemic in style as to demand comment. The authors restrict themselves to only three of the many issues.
