Abstract
STRUM is a program that calculates the effect of structural modifications on the dynamic characteristics of a structure. The program interfaces with the finite element program VAST (Version 04) and enables the dynamic effects of structural changes to be predicted without a complete reanalysis of the finite element model. The report presents the information required for a user to run STRUM. There are two versions of the program, STRUM and STRUMI with the second of these containing comprehensive interactive data input facilities. The input requirements for both of these programs are described in this report.
