Abstract
A workshop on military robotics applications was sponsored by Defence Research Establishment Pacific (DREP) and Royal Roads Military College (RRMC) on 11-13 August 1987. This Workshop assembled government, industry and university researchers in the field of intelligent robotic systems to discuss the future directions in robotic applications for the Canadian Forces (CF). A second objective of the Workshop was to show representatives of the Canadian Forces the latest robotics developments and their potential for military applications. The principle objectives of the paper are to describe the organizational procedures of the Robotics Workshop, and to provide some suggestions which may improve the execution of future workshops. An event logic diagram and a summary of the experience gained are provided as a reference for the organizers of future workshops. TRUNCATED
