- Abstract
- An integrated optic spectrum analyzer, operating at 0.82 micrometre wave length, was designed, fabricated and tested. The integrated optics spectrum analyzer consisted of an array of two uniform surface acoustic wave transducers, two out-diffused and two in-diffused waveguides mutually coupled, a butt-coupled semiconductor laser, a butt-coupled photodetector array, and two ultrasonically ground geodesic lenses. A special package was designed to accomodate the subsystem in a compact way. Special precautions were taken to suppress optical noise at the output.
