A COMPARISON OF SOME METHODS OF SLOPE MEASUREMENT FROM LARGE SCALE UNRECTIFIED AIR PHOTOS

Abstract
The purpose of this dissertation is to investigate and compare the accuracy of such simple and rapid slope measurement methods, which fall below the performance level of second order plotters, and yet which may provide acceptable slope information when large scale (1:5,000) unrectified air photos are used. An attempt was made to assess the method limitations in terms of slope angle range and orientation. In addition, the true errors were calculated for each procedure.
