Abstract
The prototype centrifugal R.O.D was tested at D.R.E.P. from April through October 1988. This testing consisted of daily operation and, on several occasions, operation for a twenty-four hour period. The performance characteristics of the unit were monitored throughout the testing period. Some modifications were made to enhance the ease of operation of the unit. Throughout the testing period, the prototype maintained fresh water flow rates in excess of 1800 USGPD and salinities below 240 p.p.m. The unit has, furthermore, proven to be exceptionally reliable.
