Abstract
The aim of this project was to perform comparisons of a few single target tracking filter implementation using Monte Carlo simulation techniques. The comparisons were to be in terms of: tracking accuracy, processing time, data storage requirements, program code size and calculation precision requirements. To a large extent these goals have been realized. However, due to funding limitations, the extent of experimentation was reduced in scope and the investigation of calculation precision effects was not performed. Three tracking filters were designed and two of these were implemented and compared in the experiments. The third filter was not implemented due to the above-mentioned funding limitations.
