Abstract
ASTIP is an automatic surveillance, tracking, and imaging program developed for the VAX computer in the radar division for which the phased-array radar carries out surveillance, of a designated field of view, and acquires and tracks multiple targets in its surveillance space. Upon operator request or automatically, ASTIP interrupts surveillance and tracking to acquire image data on a designated target. The program is menu-driven enabling the operator to setup the radar surveillance and tracking paramaters, run and monitor the program operations, and request the image of a target. This final report describes the work completed for the implementation of the record and playback modes of operation, the implementation of the search scheme, and the trials in which each of the new features added to ASTIP was tested.
