- Abstract
- The report considers the problem of estimating the track of a moving object along a straight-line track based on directional bearing data from an arbitrary number of observers. Part II of this report discusses the operation of the Fortran program BIAS2.FOR which implements the two tracking algorithms that have been described in Part I. The primary purpose of this program is the testing of these two algorithms using simulated bearing data. The algorithms have been implemented with an emphasis on the reliability and accuracy of the results rather than on the efficiency and speed of computation. Much of the program is concerned with manipulation of various text files which contain information on the stored constants, the track of the object, the bearing data of the observers, and the residual error analysis of the optimal tracks.
