- Abstract
- The work was undertaken to investigate the accuracy of the solutions for the scattered field of imperfectly conducting objects using impedance boundary conditions (IBC). Three main "studies" are carried out. Initially, in CHAPTER TWO the accuracy of the IBC solution is compared with those of exact analytic solution for spherical objects and solution obtained using a quasi-static formulation. The methods are then used to show the influence of the material properties, i.e. the ratio mu/sigma and the operating frequency manifested in the form of skin depth. The results are also compared with approximate ones generated using the numerical solution described in reference.
