CHARGE ANALYSIS AT DREA, FOR DEEP WATER ENVIRONMENTS

Abstract
The report presents a new set of programs available at DREA to perform charge analysis for a deep water environment. The programs allow the user to separate several acoustic transients of a charge run into their different components, and extract the energy content of these components to produce an analysis of bottom reflection loss vs angle, and propagation loss vs range, for a set of frequencies. Located on the Surveillance Acoustics VAX computer, the programs are set up to use recordings from a digital tape, transferred to the VAX with the usual DREA data file formats.
