Abstract
VEGA is a computer program that generates perspective views of 100 metre resolution digital terrain data. It is written in BASIC (compiled) and runs on an IBM PC/AT class of micro-computer with the EGA colour graphics extension. Terrain cells are presented graphically as coloured quadrilaterals with vegetated and urban cells presented as 100 by 100 metre boxes raised to the appropriate height. The 'Carmonette' digital terrain data base employed contains validated vegetation height values. The report constitutes a User's Guide for Version 1.2 of the VEGA software.
