Abstract
Due to the success of previous work with DREO, an interest was expressed to adapt the technology for applications in space. The aim was to develop a LET (linear-energy-transfer) spectrometer, suitable for measurement of space radiation, in order to quantify the effect of cosmic rays on electronic components. The development complements on-going work (being done by McMaster University) on studying the effect of particles of different LET on electronic components.
