- Abstract
- Cooling the feet can remove heat from the body at rates in excess of 100 watts. Several styles of heat transfer footwear incorporating plasticized PVC tubing were fabricated and tested. Heat transfer rates in excess of 50 watts per foot were measured. The garments were found to be not uncomfortable.
