Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to describe some observations of small-scale velocity and temperature fluctuations in the upper layers of the ocean. The results are largely qualitative and the measurements were made in only one location at one time of the year so they are not adequate to provide the basis for a detailed heat and momentum transport model.
